In the beginning of 2020 when schools were locked down, I quickly noticed that my social 2nd grader (at the time) became very anti-social. Her connection to friends dwindled and she seemed confused at the new structure of online learning. The delivery was solely education, with no interaction with her peers and friends. I had a bright idea and thus was born www.recessbuddies.com Recess Buddies is an online learning platform where social engagement is just as important as the lessons. The focus is social emotional development by connecting with peers over fun engaging activities. Ironically as I write this, it is what we do through Hebrew Connect. I have made many wonderful friendships here and I am thankful for this platform.
